The choir sing a programme of music from 12th century England, to set the scene for TS Eliot’s play, which tells the story of the murder of Thomas Becket on 29th December 1170. Music includes Middle English lyrics, songs by St Godric of Finchale, a ‘protest song’ by Richard the Lionheart, and more. Music will be sung from 7:00pm, when the doors open. The play itself begins at 7:45pm.
